I read this book a very long time ago. Over a year ago to be exact, but the concepts of it enlightened me to the point of no return.
Asprey helped set the tone of how I viewed my health in college. I was constantly tired, in a state of the infamous “brain fog”, frustrated and angry for no reason, and depressed. Then once I was able to narrow in on the foods that I ate, why certain foods are better than others and made some better choices, my life changed for the better.
No more falling asleep in class (even in the morning). ⠀ ⠀
The Bulletproof Diet was the work of self-proclaimed “bio-hacker” Dave Asprey who has took the bio-hacking community by storm all over…the nation I assume? I know for sure California, Silicon Valley to be specific, we’re kinda health freaks over here.⠀ ⠀
What’s ultimately unique about this particular diet is that it focuses on food TOXINS. Asprey goes in to talk about how toxins are what’s causing our bodies to undergo inflammation causing the infamous energy drain and brain fog.
Why are we so tired? Why do we look particularly fat on some days and not so bad on other days? In the book, Asprey discusses the negative effects of toxic foods and how to combat them. ⠀ ⠀
He’s most famous for the Bulletproof coffee (which I will have a post up soon for). I still drink this to this day and it’s amazing, though of course, not every day.
It’s a great read for any self-respecting bio hacker and ANYONE who wants to improve their overall eating lifestyle. It’s good for all to know and be enlightened by.
Trust me, you’ll never look at food the same way again. ⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀
